Wallace acclaimed as Conservative Candidate.

BURLINGTON- Member of Parliament Mike Wallace has been acclaimed as the Conservative candidate in the riding of Burlington for the next election.

"The last election was less than seven months ago, but with confidence votes coming this fall in Parliament and the often challenging nature of a minority government, we are making sure we will be well prepared for an election whenever it may be called," says Wallace.

The Conservative Party recently released riding associations across Canada to nominate their candidates for the next election. Wallace was unopposed for the nomination and will represent the Conservative Party in Burlington in the next campaign.

Mark Fedak, President of the Burlington riding association says "Mike has effectively represented our riding and he has done so with integrity and honesty, and he has the full support of local Conservatives to continue representing us in Parliament."

Mike Wallace was elected MP for Burlington on January 23rd, 2006.

Wallace adds, "serving in Parliament has been the experience and honour of a lifetime. I will continue to work hard for a stronger Canada, a better Burlington, and the best representation possible for our community."
