Episode No. 2 of TVCogeco Show Airs this week

BURLINGTON-The second episode of Upfront with Mike Wallace will begin airing this week on TVCogeco, Cable channel No. 23 in Burlington.

Episode No. 2 of the show, entitled ‘Pre-Budget Consultations’ focuses on the National Pre-Budget Consultations which took place earlier this year. As part of this consultation, Mike Wallace used the forum of a town hall meeting in Burlington to ask his constituents about the issues that were important to them. He then brought these items to the Minister of Finance for consideration in the next budget.

Mike also sits on the Finance Committee which heard testimony from over 400 groups across the country, who put forward their own items for consideration in the upcoming budget.

The show focuses on the process of getting ideas from Burlingtonians, special groups and individuals from across Canada into the next budget. Mike takes viewers through a Finance Committee meeting, his recent Town Hall meeting and speaks with citizens, clerks, analysts and the chair of the Finance Committee to discuss the pre-budget consultation process and the drafting of the next budget.

The show will begin airing Thursday November 30 and will be broadcast regularly throughout December.
